Termite Inspection and Termite Control in DFW with Termidor.

FREE Termite Control Fort Worth TXTermite Inspection – Inspections are done at no charge. Termite control in DFW and surrounding areas are done with Termidor. The statistics are startling – one in thirty homes in the United States may be infested with termites each year. The average cost of termite treatments and damage repairs exceeds $8,000. Termites cause an estimated $5 billion in property damage a year in the United States. In fact, they cause more damage to wood-based structures than fire, flood, or wind, according to the National Pest Management Foundation.

Your home is probably the largest, and most expensive single acquisition that you will ever make. It’s probably your single biggest investment too. And to think that it can be greatly damaged by these little, hard working insects – that’s just scary. When you think about how much you are putting into your home, are you thinking about how much they could be taking out? You need to take steps to defend your home before termites can damage it. An excellent place to start is a termite inspection and then to educate yourself on the options you have available. DFW Bug is here to help.

One of the most tested Termite Solutions in History

Before Termidor was made available to American homeowners through Termidor Certified Professionals, it was subject to some of the toughest, most rigorous tests in history. For 8+ years, Termidor was subject to grueling USDA-Forest Service ground board and concrete slab trials in four states. At every application rate and every last location, Termidor proved 100% effective.

How Termidor’s “Transfer Effect” works

The active ingredient in Termidor is fipronil and it works quite differently from other termiticide active ingredients. Most termiticides are repellents, which means they keep termites away from a treated area, rather than killing them. These repellent termiticides also kill termites. However, since these are repellent to termites, they are repelled when they come in contact or just before actually coming in contact with pyrethroid treated soil. The ‘killing power’ is less dramatic and if anyone took the time to count dead termites, less efficient. Termidor is non-repellent. Termites can’t distinguish it. Since they don’t know it’s there, they contaminate themselves while looking for food in treated areas.

Queen Termite

Like other leading liquid termiticides, Termidor is lethal to termites when they ingest it (which they do readily since they don’t know it’s there). But, unlike all other termiticides, Termidor is lethal by contact as well. Once a termite comes into contact with Termidor, they carry it back to the colony on their bodies. Every other termite it contacts will itself become a carrier, contacting and infecting others. This is known as “The Transfer Effect.”

Termite control will eventually be needed on most homes in the area that we live.  The most important aspect to figure out is when to take care of this eventual problem. We offer free inspection to do 2 things:

1:  To attempt to determine if you have an active termite infestation or current visible termite damage in the structure.

2:  To attempt to determine in you have termite activity or damage on your property.

Hopefully there is nothing detectable. It is never good news to tell a homeowner that you have termites. If there is: DFW Bug will take care of you.
